About Mindfullink

Mindfullink is a specialist Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) practice providing services to participants across South East Queensland. We work with children, young people, and adults with disability who present with behaviours of concern, including complex and high-risk presentations.

Our focus is on delivering structured, evidence-based behaviour support that leads to meaningful, sustainable improvements in quality of life.

Our Approach

At Mindfullink, behaviour is understood within its full context — not as an isolated problem to be managed, but as communication influenced by environmental, relational, and functional factors.

Our work is grounded in comprehensive assessment, clinical formulation, and ongoing review. We utilise structured frameworks, including MERGA-informed practice, to guide our understanding of behaviour and to design interventions that are precise, consistent, and effective.

This approach ensures that:

  • Behaviour is understood before intervention is applied

  • Strategies are aligned with underlying function, not just presentation

  • Supports are practical and transferable across environments

  • Progress is monitored and adapted over time

What We Do

Mindfullink provides a full range of Positive Behaviour Support services, including:

  • Comprehensive Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA)
Structured assessment processes that identify the function of behaviour and contributing environmental and relational factors.

  • Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans (CBSP)
Individualised plans that outline proactive strategies, skill development, and safe, ethical responses to behaviours of concern.

  • Interim Behaviour Support Plans
Developed where immediate support is required, including in situations involving restrictive practice considerations.

  • Targeted Behavioural Assessments and NDIS Recommendation Reports
Focused assessments to support access to services, funding decisions, and clinical recommendations.

Who We Work With

Mindfullink supports a broad range of participants across the lifespan, including those with complex and high-support needs.

We commonly work with:

  • Children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

  • Individuals presenting with behaviours of concern, including aggression, self-injury, property damage, and absconding

  • Participants with complex behavioural, developmental, or psychosocial needs

  • Individuals requiring support with restrictive practice oversight and reduction

  • Families and support teams seeking structured, practical behaviour support strategies

  • Participants transitioning between home, school, and community environments where consistency of support is critical

We are experienced in working within multidisciplinary teams and collaborating with support coordinators, educators, therapists, and service providers to ensure consistent and effective implementation of behaviour support strategies.

How We Work

We work collaboratively with participants, families, support workers, schools, and other professionals to ensure that strategies are consistently implemented and embedded into everyday environments.

Our approach emphasises:

  • Clear communication and shared understanding

  • Practical, realistic strategies

  • Capacity building within support teams

  • Ethical and least-restrictive practice

We prioritise consistency across settings, recognising that meaningful behaviour change requires alignment between home, school, and community environments.

Our Commitment

Mindfullink is committed to delivering high-quality, ethical, and accountable behaviour support.

Our practitioners are qualified and registered with the NDIS as Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners, and all work is aligned with NDIS Practice Standards.

We place strong emphasis on:

  • Clinical rigour and structured practice

  • Ongoing professional development and supervision

  • Respectful, person-centred engagement

  • Measurable outcomes and continuous review

Referral Pathway

We aim to make the referral process clear, responsive, and efficient.

1. Initial Contact

Referrals can be made by participants, families, support coordinators, or service providers.
You can contact Mindfullink via phone or email to discuss the participant’s needs and current supports.

2. Intake and Information Gathering

We will gather key information to understand the participant’s situation, including current supports, presenting behaviours, risks, and NDIS plan details.

This allows us to determine the most appropriate level of support and service pathway.

3. Service Agreement and Scheduling

Once the referral is accepted, we will provide a service agreement outlining the scope of support.
Sessions are then scheduled in collaboration with the participant and their support network.

4. Assessment and Planning

A Functional Behaviour Assessment (FBA) is completed, followed by the development of a Behaviour Support Plan tailored to the participant’s needs.

5. Implementation and Review

We work alongside families and support teams to implement strategies, build capacity, and monitor progress over time.

Ongoing review ensures that supports remain effective, responsive, and aligned with the participant’s goals.
