Dr Sally Campbell

Clinical Director | Founder, Mindfullink

Dr Sally Campbell is the Founder and Clinical Director of Mindfullink, a specialist Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) organisation recognised for its integration of relational practice, ecological systems theory and structured risk governance.

With more than 25 years of leadership across education, behaviour services and organisational development, Sally brings a rare combination of clinical precision, systems thinking and regulatory literacy to complex behaviour support. As a registered NDIS PBS Practitioner, she is committed not only to improving individual quality of life, but to strengthening the environments, professionals and systems that shape sustainable behavioural outcomes.

Sally holds a PhD in Engagement and Achievement from the University of Queensland. Her doctoral research examined how behavioural, environmental and system-level factors interact to influence motivation, participation and long-term outcomes. This ecological lens underpins her clinical philosophy: behaviour is never isolated, and effective intervention requires relational safety, functional clarity and systemic alignment.

She specialises in high-risk and complex behavioural presentations, Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA), and Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans (CBSP) grounded in measurable functional analysis and ethical restrictive practice minimisation. In parallel with her clinical expertise, Sally works with PBS providers, schools and allied organisations to strengthen organisational capability, build scalable clinical frameworks and support sustainable growth.

Drawing on her leadership experience across education and behaviour services, she assists organisations to:

  • Design structured clinical governance and risk management systems

  • Develop supervision and leadership pipelines that enable team expansion

  • Align service delivery with regulatory, audit and quality standards

  • Implement data-driven outcome measurement frameworks

  • Transition from founder-dependent models to scalable, team-based service delivery

  • Embed cultures of accountability, reflective practice and continuous improvement

Her work bridges individual behaviour support with organisational transformation — ensuring that services not only meet compliance standards, but are structurally positioned for growth, resilience and long-term impact.

Drawing on her extensive experience as a teacher and school leader, Sally has deep insight into educational environments and organisational capability. She works collaboratively with families, schools and allied health professionals to design practical, trauma-informed and developmentally responsive interventions that produce durable change.

Beyond individual casework, Sally is developing the Mindfullink Relational Risk Model — an integrated framework combining relational pedagogy, ecological systems mapping and structured risk quantification to support high-quality PBS practice at scale. Her vision is to contribute to the development of nationally recognised standards in relationally anchored, risk-governed behaviour support.

Sally also integrates her longstanding work in animal-assisted approaches. As one of the early pioneers of therapy dogs in schools, she extends this expertise to Equine Assisted Learning (EAL), offering clients structured opportunities for emotional regulation, confidence building and relational skill development within carefully governed practice frameworks.

Woody

Woody (the real CEO) was our longest-serving therapy dog, working for six years in school. He brought a unique style to his work. During his service, the department recognised him with its own video section. Woody is retired from school now but likes to keep his paw in the therapy game by offering his services to those attending the hub.
